Maura

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been fascinated with hair and beauty. I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser for as long as I can remember and I am so happy to be doing just that. Helping people to look and feel their best is an important and rewarding job and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

I attended the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute of Philadelphia, where I graduated #1 in my class. I immediately began work at Salon Fiber in August of 2008. I instantly fell in love with Fiber; it was like my second home. I constantly educated myself in all areas of the industry, sucking it all in like a sponge. From cutting and coloring to makeup and finishing, I found myself loving the technical side of being a hairdresser but striving for more. When Fiber founder Wendy Fata and her family decided to relocate to California, it was the perfect opportunity to make this home truly mine and I took over ownership of Salon fiber at the beginning of 2014. I love the business side of the industry (one of those rare people who love math!) and am so looking forward to a future growing the salon and its’ wonderful team.

Education and passion are two very important things to me. Salon Fiber was created to offer cutting edge hair in a comfortable, boutique style setting and I am always looking to take it to the next level. I am so grateful for all of the loyal clients, talented staff, and steady mentorship of Wendy and her brother Andy that help me to achieve my goals!

I'm Alyssa and I have been working in salons since 2005. I earned my cosmetology license when I was just out of high school and have been working as a stylist ever since. I really enjoy playing with bright colors and having some room for creativity but can also achieve anything from subtle to edgy.

Keeping up with current trends is important to me so I am constantly attending classes to refine my skills and make them available to you. I have a wide range of different clients at Salon Fiber and would love to add you into that mix.

Since an early age, art, fashion and beauty have always had a huge influence on me. Born with a creative eye, this industry has provided me with an endless amount of outlets to express myself.

After high school, I began schooling for graphic design, which awakened my artistic ability. Feeling the sense that something was missing, I found myself drawn to cosmetology. I attended Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in 2007, and finally discovered my passion.

Throughout the years my passion has only grown for the industry, and I'm happy to be helping people make their visions become reality.  I've  had a number of classes in advanced cutting and coloring, up styles, the Brazilian Blowout and Keratin Treatments. I was also invited to style hair for Villanova University's 2010  'Love The Skin You're In' fashion show.

Salon Fiber has provided me with everything hair styling has to offer. I've truly found my home, and look forward to the years ahead!

To me, being a hairstylist is one of the most rewarding jobs. Every day is completely unpredictable and a chance to create and learn something new at the same time. I started out in the hair industry in 2007 as a shampoo assistant and went on to beauty school at Pulse Beauty Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School, where I began my formal education as a hairstylist.

I think my passion for art and attention to detail is what has really pushed me to work hard at hairdressing. I believe the consultation with your client is the most crucial part of the salon experience. Making sure I fully grasp my client's vision is such an essential part of my job. I specialize in overall dry styling of the hair. From blow outs, to curls, to up-styling, that is what gets my creative juices flowing!

My hobbies, when not doing hair, include antiquing/thrifting, being active outdoors, art, music, baking cupcakes, & most importantly laughing…mostly at my own jokes!

I absolutely love my job and cannot wait to see what the future has in store me. This industry is an open door for so many possibilities. I would love the chance to share my passion with each of you!

Since I can remember I have had a deep connection to art and style. I believe in personal transformation and I believe your look should reflect your inner beauty and should change and develop as you progress in life. I know I have had a few personal renaissances in my life! These growing and learning experiences always transcend in my style of cutting and coloring. I love to learn and grow and that is why I love this career!

Deeply rooted in education, I am constantly learning new techniques and trends. I’m always eager to attend the “in-house” workshops here at Salon fiber as well as the many classes offered by our product lines Eufora & Redken. I was also privileged enough to apprentice under some of the best stylists in Philadelphia, as well as attend advanced cutting classes at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in L.A.

I would love the opportunity to meet you and exercise my craft! I am equally passionate about color and cutting and love to make every client happy and feel empowered about their life through their look!

I have always had a love for hair and beauty. After spending years in the corporate world, I was given the opportunity to finally pursue my true passion in the beauty industry. I attended Pulse Beauty Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School and graduated first in my class. I immediately joined the team at Salon fiber in August 2012 and I couldn’t be happier! Since being here I have been able to further my knowledge of the industry taking classes in creative color and cutting, up-styling, smoothing treatments and balayage.

Your hair is the accessory that you wear every day and I would love to be a part of your everyday look. From classic to edgy, I do it all! I look forward to creating your vision with my talents.

I personally feel that the beauty industry is one of the most powerful institutions. Having someone spend a brief amount of time with you and then being able to leave feeling and looking better is amazing to me. I love seeing people's perception of themselves change to be a little more positive than when they walked in.

Directly after high school I attended college, and in that time I realized what my career path should be. I have always loved the beauty industry and am very artistic. This lead me to enter cosmetology school soon after. When I joined Salon fiber in 2013, I knew right away this was my home. I cannot thank the girls enough for being amazing people and making this so enjoyable every day. I love utilizing my talents here. Besides specializing in hair color and makeup, I get to explore my artistic side in other ways. You can thank me for the chalkboard designs and the mural behind the front desk.

I think when someone walks in the door it is all about communication. I believe that understanding what someone needs is most important. I love everything from bright crazy colors, to more refined looks and both of us have to be on the same page to get the desired look. I look forward to working with you to achieve your ideal look.

My love for the beauty industry stems from a lifetime love and hobby of hair and makeup. While growing up, I loved the feeling that came along with helping other people. After deciding to tie the two passions together I attended Empire Beauty School in 2009. I've been crafting and developing my skill ever since.

Today I specialize in balayage, formal styling, and makeup. Allowing people to see and bring out their inner and outer beauty is what truly gratifies me!

I'm so excited to be a part of the Salon fiber team and can't wait to share my skills, passion, tips, and tricks with you! Book an appointment today and let's get started!

My love for this industry started many years ago. My grandmother was a hairdresser and watching her work as I grew up I always knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps. While in high school. I had the opportunity to go to a vocational technical school for cosmetology. Through their training, I was able to earn my cosmetology license before graduating.

In 2013 I was fortunate enough to join Salon fiber’s team. Working here has provided me with an invaluable education program to further my skills. I believe that hands on experience is the best education and I have learned a lot since my start at Salon fiber. I love keeping up with new trends, techniques, and technologies in the beauty industry. This allows me to give each client the best possible experience and result.

I love my work and am excited to meet each and every one of my clients….and remember, good things come in small packages!

Since I was a child I have been intrigued and fascinated by hair and beauty. I have always wanted to have a career where I can work with people and bring happiness into their lives while being able to create something beautiful. I am so happy I am able to do just that! I love how creative, artistic, and hands on it allows me to be.

I have been working at Salon fiber since 2009 where I confirmed my passion for the industry. I then attended West Chester University where I earned my degree in nutrition and psychology to help further myself and supplement my knowledge while I attended cosmetology school. I went to Pulse, a Paul Mitchell partner school where I graduated in the honors program in 2014.

I am so grateful to have such a rewarding career and am pleased I am able to increase my knowledge at a wonderful salon. Salon fiber emphasizes the importance of furthering one’s education and keeping up with the latest trends and that is important to me. I also appreciate its warm and inviting atmosphere!
